Please note that annual membership renewals are due this week. They must be made in a single payment for the whole club, therefore I need your payment in my account by this Saturday evening at the latest.  BSB 313-140 AC#19235215 Fees are $70.00 for adults and $45.00 for juniors. If you do not pay by Saturday it just means your membership won't be renewed until next month; the VKR has a policy of only processing memberships payments between 1st and 15th of each month.

Last week we went to Cragieburn Martial Arts centre and filled their Kendojo to bursting. It was wonderful to meet Kevin and Leanne and admire the beautiful training space they have built with lots of hard work and love of budo. I think they also enjoyed seeing the dojo used to its absolute maximum! I'll attach all of the action shots at the bottom of this post. VKR/AKR fees for Membership Year 2018 (1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018) are now due. Juniors are $45.00 and seniors are $70.00. In other words no change from last year. As you know by now, membership fees pay for insurance and contribute funds so that the volunteers who run Kendo on our behalf have a budget with which they can organise gradings, support new clubs with equipment, subsidise seminars and support the national team, amongst many other things. Seniors are anyone 16 years of age and over. Please pay into my account directly because I have to make one payment to the VKR for the club. For everyone, both our most recent beginners and our ongoing members, membership fees for the Australian Kendo Renmei and the Victorian Kendo Renmei are due by 15th June. Why the 15th? The VKR has recently introduced a cut-off date for memberships of the 15th of each month. This is to allow for processing. Remember the VKR is a small organisation run entirely by volunteers. So if you need to be registered as a member by the 1 July, then you need to get your application in by 15th of the month before. It is membership renewal time again. Until such time as the VKR devises an user-operated online membership portal, I have to submit all memberships manually. So, if you not currently not training, but you: imagine you will return to training soon, or have no specific return date for training but wish to maintain membership for other reasons (e.g. retaining your grade, supporting the organisation, etc) ...you need to email me a.s.a.p. to let me know your intentions.  I will only renew your membership if you are currently training, or if you get in touch with me before 27 June.  NOTE 1: it is not necessary to send any money at this stage. The VKR will invoice me for the total amount when they process the application.
