Training cancelled tomorrow - Zoom training instead

Of course tomorrow's training has to be cancelled due to the snap lockdown no. 4.

I'm confident that this will be only a one-week hiatus. So for tomorrow only we will go back to a Zoom training format. The meeting ID is the same as last year. I will TeamApp the meeting ID to club members again. If you do not have TeamApp please email me directly.

Training will go from 10.30 to 11.30am.

Wednesday night training will be from 6.30 to 7pm.

See you then and remember, we've done this before, we'll get through it!

Below please find a message from VKR President Michael Dunn to all clubs

Dear all,

As you are no doubt aware, the Victorian Government has announced a 7 day lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic effective 11.59pm tonight. In line with Government restrictions, all Clubs should cease in-person training until the lockdown has been lifted and guidelines permit a return to training.

The VKR would also recommend that any Club training scheduled for Thursday evening (27 May 2021) be cancelled.

Given the uncertainty and risks, the VKR Monthly training scheduled for Friday 4 June 2021 is cancelled.

The VKR community has been fortunate enough that we have been able to resume training since the last lockdown, but the recent events highlight that the virus is still with us. Therefore we need to remain vigilant and ensure we are all following our COVID-safe plans.

We would encourage all clubs to take this time to review their COVID-safe plans and procedures and ensure they are up to date prior to the resumption of training. In particular, a reminder that the Government QR Check-in Code is mandatory for all clubs.

The VKR will provide further guidelines regarding the resumption of training once known.

Finally, please follow Government health advice and get tested where required. Also, note that vaccine eligibility has now been expanded to include those over 40 years old. To book a vaccine appointment, you can go here: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/book-your-vaccine-appointment

Take care and stay safe.

Kind regards,

Michael Dunn

President
